Sunday a week ago we traveled to Virginia (sounds so far doesn’t it?) and visited Theodore Roosevelt Island. This island is a 90-something acre wilderness preserve that honors the contributions of the 26th US president to conversation of public lands.
This island has 2.5 miles of foot trails so you can watch a variety of flora and fauna. It is a nice get-away.
This photo shows part of the swamp.
This very last weekend was all about the FIFA World Cup. The US lost against Ghana, but my team, Germany, goes on to the next round. Argentina will be a tough opponent.
I m watching the Netherlands Vs Slovakia as I m writting this comment, Germany vs Arg should be a cracking encounter. Wish you the very best.
The match should be great. I’ll be watching it for sure, no matter what.
Beautifully composed photo of this place. (I know the proximity having lived in Fredericksburg, VA. Have you been there yet? It’s a photographers delight and I’d love to see images again if you have opportunity) Congratulations on your team moving forward.
Hi Sherri, I have not been to Fredericksburg yet, but I’m sure we will go there in due time. I’ve heard about it and am quite curious.
A swamp to me is a ugly place not at all like this :-)
