I made this photo Friday night at the LA Women’s Tennis Championships. Flavia Pennetta will play later today (2PM PST) against Samantha Stosur for the championship. More photos from this event can be seen in my photo gallery.
On a non-related note. Olympus sponsors the US Open, and since this tournament is part of the US Open Series they had a booth there at the event. I could hold the E-30. Now that’s exactly what I want. Feels great in my hand. Since I recently bought 2 lenses this purchase has to wait a bit, but it will happen. The good thing is that the price will very likely keep going down.
Rolf
Fantastic shot, you really captured this one perfectly and at the right moment. Great lens, love the clarity.
great action shot! to the extreme! what is the E-30? is it a DSLR coz i thought they were coming out with a large format compact, is that it?
Nice one. I like how its blurred
Fantastic action shot. Especially love her foot position..suspended in air.
Sehr dynamische Aufnahme, schade das der Fokus auf den Unterarm gerutscht ist. Aber das ist auch schwer mit der Sportfotografie, die können nie stillhalten. ;-)

Bewegung im Bild ist klasse.
I have an older film camera made by Olympus. After reading your remarks I googled the one you're wanting. It made some matches for sites where users were complaining about them. Something about the noise. You always have beautiful quality in your photos and this one is no exception. What a great action shot. Nothing obscuring your view…you must have found a great vantage point.
Thanks Sherri. Yes, we had very nice seats thanks to a wonderful lady who gave my partner the tickets out of sheer friendliness.
Is that her foot behind the racket? :) THe longer I look at that, the weirder it becomes! Although it is a perfectly normal pose.
