Last photo of the year 2008. What a year it was. 2009 will be great!
This is Josephine, Amelie’s new friend. Ramona passed away 10 days ago due to her weak heart; she will be missed. Amelie needed a new friend. That’s where Josephine comes in. She is gold agouti (what you can see in the photo) and white (what you cannot really see here), has beautiful big eyes and is about 7 weeks old. Both are extremely energetic, they run, jump and popcorn like there is no tomorrow.

Over Christmas I showed my mother some photography sites I like, and she saw your guinea pig photos and almost freaked out. Rodent-phobic, haha. I don't like rats either but I can't understand her reaction. These guys are awesome.
Anyway, terrific shot. He looks full of life. They move so quickly I bet it's difficult to get a good shot of them.

Josephine is a cute little thing. That's sad about Ramona's passing. They are so fragile… Amelie will enjoy the companionship. :) Nice photo of Josephine Sabine.
